Irido AI transparency: where AI is used, and where it isn't
Irido uses an artificial intelligence model to write some analyses and to answer how-to questions in the
assistant, and for nothing else. The numbers you see
(what your wealth is worth, what is inside your funds, what you are exposed to) are not invented by a model:
they are market data and computation. Here is the full list, in both directions.
Where AI writes
-
The analysis of a stock or ETF: the risk/return verdict, the comparison with sector peers,
the commentary on news and the company calendar.
- The sector research and the weekly market update.
-
The notes that accompany an Irido Lab proposal, not the proposal's numbers, which are
computed.
-
The answers of the in-app assistant: questions about how to use Irido, answered by a small
model (Gemini Flash-Lite) reading the guide and the pages' public data (government bonds, ETF catalogue). It cannot
see the portfolio and gives no personal advice; the «Team» tab is read by people, not by a model.
-
The model is Google Gemini, partly using web search, and sources are cited in the text. It
can be wrong, and that is stated next to every analysis.
Where there is no AI
This is the part that usually goes unstated, and it is the one that matters most: none of these numbers passes through a model.
- Prices, quotes and fundamentals. They come from Yahoo Finance and EODHD, as they are.
-
What is inside your funds. The breakdown of ETFs and funds into real holdings is the
issuer's data, not a model's reconstruction.
-
Exposure by sector and geography, concentration, overlap between funds: arithmetic on the
data above.
-
Projections and Monte Carlo simulations. They are a statistical computation with stated
assumptions. They are simulations, not forecasts, and not a model's opinion.
-
Your total wealth, exchange rates, monthly history, the split between market movement and capital
paid in. All computed.
What leaves your data
When you request an analysis, the portfolio data needed to produce it (amounts, positions, risk profile) is
sent to Google as the model provider. If you do not request one, nothing leaves: tracking, prices and
calculations do not go through it.
On our social channels
The graphics we publish are not AI-generated: a stylesheet lays them out from a text file. Two formats are an
exception in substance (the sector summary and the weekly update) and carry the “IA” mark and the line
“generated with AI, verified before publication”. That line describes a human review that today genuinely
happens: if one day those posts were to go out automatically with nobody reading them, the line will be
removed rather than left there out of habit.
